You will be the champion for building a best-in-class rewards experience for Wellness, Life & Health (WLH) products, leveraging behavioral science to incentivize healthy habits and achieve positive outcomes for both Sanlam and the coalition.What will you do?Rewards Strategy & Design:

  • Develop a compelling rewards program for WLH products within the coalition program, aligned with Sanlam's business objectives and partner offerings.
  • Utilise behavioral science principles to understand coalition customer motivations and design targeted reward structures that incentivise desired behaviors (e.g., gym memberships, health screenings, preventive health measures).
  • Analyse competitor rewards programs and identify opportunities for differentiation within the coalition program.
  • Design a tiered rewards program with engaging benefits that cater to different customer segments within the coalition customer base.
Rewards Program Management:
  • Own the entire lifecycle of the WLH rewards program, from ideation to launch, ongoing optimization, and performance measurement.
  • Manage the rewards program backlog, prioritise features, and ensure alignment with overall program goals, customer needs, and Sanlam's strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, IT, Risk) to develop, launch, and maintain the program infrastructure and user experience.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as program participation, redemption rates, customer satisfaction, and impact on key metrics (e.g., health outcomes, policy renewals).
  • Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and iterate on the program to maximise its effectiveness in driving desired behaviors and achieving positive outcomes.
Customer Journey & Experience Optimisation:
  • Map the customer journey for WLH products within the coalition program, focusing on identifying and addressing pain points related to earning rewards, redeeming benefits, and overall program engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the customer experience and ensure a seamless rewards redemption process.
  • Develop communication strategies to effectively explain program benefits, promote healthy behaviors, and motivate customer engagement.
Coalition Partner Collaboration:
  • Build strong relationships with coalition partners to understand their customer segments and explore potential synergies for integrated rewards experiences focused on wellness and health.
  • Identify co-branded rewards opportunities with coalition partners to enhance the value proposition for both Sanlam and partner customers within the WLH product category.
  • Collaborate with partners to ensure seamless integration of rewards programs and streamlined redemption processes for coalition customers seeking WLH products.
Business Enablement & Cross-Selling:
  • Work closely with Sanlam's Wellness, Life & Health businesses to ensure the rewards program aligns with their product offerings, customer needs, and overall business strategies.
  • Develop strategies and initiatives to leverage the program to drive cross-selling of WLH products within the coalition customer base, promoting a holistic approach to health and well-being.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree or Diploma with 10 years relevant experience in product management, with a focus on customer rewards and loyalty programs.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful rewards programs within the financial services industry, ideally with experience in the wellness or health insurance space.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral science principles and their application in designing engaging and motivating rewards structures that promote healthy behaviors.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to utilize data to inform program decisions and optimize customer experience and health outcomes.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
