The incumbent is responsible for administering, maintaining, and enhancing the TravelIT system with specific dedication to the procurement business unit. This includes project planning and management, business and IT process documentation, system analysis and implementation, user support, supplier management, and ensuring business continuity. The role is central to delivering a stable, secure, and user-optimized environment aligned with corporate policies and operational strategies.
System Analysis and Support
Document business and IT processes linked to TravelIT systems.
Create system specifications.
Perform support and manage escalations to vendors.
Review, test, and implement system updates, patches, and backup protocols.
Facilitate automation and implement change control procedures.
Reporting and Data Management
Access and utilize reporting tools (TravelIT, Chronodesk and PowerBI etc).
Project and Implementations Management
Drive project planning, execution, and smooth transitions between stages.
Translate business requirements into development priorities.
Schedule development requests with developers using planning tools (eg Dev Ops).
Coordinate with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Training and Knowledge Sharing
Develop and deliver user and IT training sessions.
Develop system release notes and training material together with the TTS training department.
Communicate system release notes to relevant stakeholders.
Coach staff and identify team training needs.
Client and Supplier Engagements
Conduct regular meetings with clients.
Build and maintain TravelIT/PurchaseIT client sites.
Manage supplier onboarding, workshops, new integrations and relationships.
Facilitate excellent communication and satisfaction.
Monetize and upsell key system features.
Team and People Management
Team development and conduct regular feedback sessions.
Foster motivation and delegate responsibilities effectively.
Encourage growth and collaboration among staff.
Encourage ongoing engagement with other product, support and development teams.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOP):
Full understanding of the SOP procedures, in line with ISO 9001.
Full alignment to the TTS SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
Required Knowledge
Implementation and Projects experience.
Travel IT Super User Knowledge.
Knowledge of Tourvest Travel Services business.
Previous experience of Project Management.
Basic Technical knowledge.
Knowledge in Resource management.
Advance knowledge Microsoft office.
Travel IT Training.
Educational Requirements
Matric Certificate.
Relevant Degree/Diploma.
Experience in years
Five years of experience in a similar role.
