Job Description


Product Marketing Specialist An innovative Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, the first of its kind in South Africa, is seeking a resourceful, ambitious, and inventive marketing professional to join its team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for marketing and an exceptional ability to think outside the box. The position will directly involve implementing marketing strategies and initiatives to achieve predetermined objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) across various channels, including email, webinars, websites, and social media. Working hours: 07h00 to 16h00 or 07h30 to 16h30 Key deliverables

  • Campaign development and execution: Plan, develop, and execute marketing campaigns across various channels such as email, webinars, website, and social media to meet predefined objectives and KPIs.
  • Content creation and copywriting: Generate compelling and persuasive content for marketing collateral, including emails, websites, product sheets, and sales enablement collateral, to maintain brand consistency and resonate with the target audience.
  • Event and webinar management: Coordinate marketing events such as trade shows, exhibitions, and webinars. Manage logistics, promotional materials, and related activities to ensure successful event execution.
  • Brand management: Uphold brand identity guidelines and ensure consistent messaging across all channels. Contribute to brand development strategies and maintain brand integrity.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, product development) to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Monitoring and reporting: Track and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns. Prepare comprehensive reports with insights, findings, and recommendations for optimisation.
  • Website maintenance and optimisation: Ensure the website aligns with marketing strategies, remains updated with relevant content, and maintains optimal user experience. Regularly audit and optimise website performance, usability, and accessibility to improve the website's organic search visibility, keyword rankings, and overall search engine performance.
  • Ad hoc tasks: Assist the Head of Marketing with event organisation, photography, and video editing if /when required.
  • Social media management: Develop and execute social media strategies, including graphics, videos, and written content across relevant platforms (such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) to increase brand awareness, engagement, and audience growth.
  • Email marketing campaigns: Develop, execute, and optimise campaigns targeting segmented audiences. Create engaging, persuasive email content, design visually appealing templates, and utilise marketing automation tools to nurture leads, drive engagement, and encourage conversions.
Technical knowledge, skills & abilities
  • Solid hands-on experience with marketing campaigns and implementation, including social media management, content creation, email marketing, and marketing automation (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Pardot, WordPress).
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data, derive insights and make data-driven decisions for campaign optimisation.
  • Proficient in crafting compelling and persuasive content for various marketing collateral, adhering to brand voice and style.
  • Ability to create visually appealing and engaging content.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing to bring innovative strategies to the team.

Education & qualifications
  • Matric certificate
  • Completed marketing or business degree. Final-year students will be considered based on work experience.
  • Other internationally recognised marketing certifications will be advantageous.
Details of preferred experience
  • Generalised marketing experience of 2-4 years, encompassing SEO, social media management, email marketing, marketing automation, design, website management, and content creation.
