Product Manager Marketing
Pretoria - Gauteng - South Africa
Our global client in the pharmaceutical industry is seeking a Product Manager to join their Cardiovascular Division. This role is ideal for a driven and strategic individual who thrives on developing impactful marketing campaigns, positioning products effectively, and driving market share within the cardiology and metabolic therapeutic categories.
Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement marketing plans to drive brand growth and profitability.
• Conduct detailed market, industry, and competitor analyses to identify trends and opportunities.
• Position cardio and diabetes brands by communicating product differentiation to healthcare professionals.
• Create impactful marketing materials, including visual aids, leave-behinds, and congress/symposia content.
• Collaborate with advertising and design agencies to execute promotional strategies aligned with brand objectives.
• Forecast product requirements and work with supply chain to manage potential supply issues.
• Present and execute marketing campaigns at conferences and internal meetings.
• Support sales teams with training, marketing tools, and field insights to enhance performance.
• Build relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to strengthen brand positioning.
• Conduct market research and identify new growth opportunities, including digital and direct-to-consumer initiatives.
• Track brand performance, monitor competitor activity, and adjust strategy accordingly.
• Ensure all marketing activities comply with industry regulations and the Marketing Code of Conduct.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or (Bio)Medical Sciences.
• Proven experience in pharmaceutical industry (3-5 years)
• Experience in Cardiovascular and Diabetes is essential
• Detailed track record of successful sales initiatives advantageous
• Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Digital literacy, including proficiency in MS Office
• Able to travel locally and internationally
