Job Description

Provide expertise, advice and support in the specification, development and production of product and pricing strategies, objectives and promotions for product lines.
Specific Role ResponsibilitiesPROCESS

• Develop and ensure the execution of marketing plans and initiatives, supporting the marketing strategy and organisational objectives
• Collaborate with sales team to effectively introduce products , coordinate with marketing on advertising, participate in trade shows and other key activities during the life cycle of the product.
• Manage product launch group meetings with all stakeholders to ensure all key milestones are achieved for new vehicle launches.
• Execute monthly product performance reviews with KIA International.
• Conduct research and gather data to provide input to operational reporting and decision making processes.
• Conduct research to identify new opportunities/technologies which could result in better operational processes.
• Ensure monthly tracking of product pricing positioning.
• Conduct research to identify new opportunities/technologies which could result in better operational processes.
• Develop and coordinate market, customer and competitive research and analysis, identifying trends and needs for inputs to the product design process.
• Optimise stock efficiency through correct product planning including but not limited to derivative, colour and lifecycle (including limited editions).
• Plan and develop criteria for new products including requirements, specifications, features, volume, product ecosystem strategy and product lifecycle strategy.
• Provide specialist advice to enable planning for value-added process improvements, initiatives and services.
• Provide specialist advice to identify and develop solutions to improve quality of processes and services.

FINANCE

• Adhere to organisational policies and procedures to ensure cost effectiveness and reduction of financial wastage related to materials or equipment.
• Implement and monitor financial controls, governance and compliance protocols.

CLIENT

• Obtain and analyse client and/or service related information to identify practice optimisation initiatives.
• Deliver services and/or products that create a culture which aims to meet or exceed customers' expectations in the business.
• Build sustainable relationships with customers that contribute to a culture of customer service excellence.

PEOPLE

• Create an engaging, enabling and productive work climate aligned to the employee value proposition.
• Keep up to date with own area of expertise to develop and maintain own professional knowledge base in order to provide effective support and advice.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Commerce: Marketing or equivalent NQF
• 5 - 8 years' experience in a similar environment, of which at least 3 - 5 years' senior specialist experience
• A broad understanding of the motor and/or the logistics and /or transport industry and legislation relating thereto.

• Candidate must have an understanding of South African market, customer needs, competitive products & environment, and pricing dynamics
• Must be able to work with limited resources to gather and create data that can be actionable in developing product plans
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent MS office skills
• Must be proactive and a self-starter.
