Ricoh South Africa is recruiting for the position of Product Manager. The successful incumbent will be responsible for acting in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and working with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products, solutions and offerings that deliver the company's vision and strategy. Translate Ricoh's portfolio into key selling value propositions and enable and support both internal and external customers in order to contribute to the growth of our business.




What you will be doing


Sales Support Activities:




Managing the entire products/ solutions/ offering line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities to achieve short, mid, and long-term related goals. Give presentations on product enablement, product reporting and strategic recommendations (on location or virtually), support in organizing events and coordinate all communication involving the products/services in cooperation with the marketing back office and the distributors to bring Ricoh's products/ solutions/ offerings to the attention of (potential) clients and help realize sales targets. Customer facing presentations to be given on request as the specialist of the portfolio. Development and Enablement of internal and external stakeholders' staff to ensure growth and achievement of strategic goals set for Ricoh South Africa.

Marketing Support:




Develop and implement financial analysis and financial projections to support and quantify growth strategies. Driven by intelligence, provide marketing support to the business partner channel and the business managers in the area of Product Marketing/Professional Services

Business plan & Budget:




Contribute to the preparation of the -monitor the execution-, and report the progress of the annual business plan and departmental budget achievement in line with the overall Ricoh South Africa business plan/strategy.

Market Intel:




Actively provide stakeholders with business intelligence such as local market and channel information to ensure business development in the pre-defined markets in accordance with Ricoh South Africa development strategy. Monthly report on portfolio on the progress of the monthly target and sell out data, including competitive information and data.

Best Practices:




Report the hardware and solutions results and sales activities of the Direct and Indirect channels, in order to provide insight and feedback to business and Ricoh Europe on Ricoh South Africa's sales activities and identify best practices. Collect relevant sales and marketing information from the Direct and Indirect channels.

Data Collection:




Provide adequate product information that enables the Product administrator to submit promotional claims timeously and accurately

Product Life Cycle Management:




Translate Product life-cycle proposals form Ricoh Europe into your current product portfolio to achieve a well-balanced phase-in phase-out for Ricoh South Africa territories. Drive product launches including working with the Communication team and other product management team members. Develop, implement and evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed.

Pricing:




Develop pricing ideas and discuss with relevant Management members to determine a profitable pricing strategy, considering relevant legislation to increase the profitability on products/services.

Projects:




Participate on request in projects within Ricoh South Africa

Customer Segmentation and Buyer Persona:




Engaging with the Sales Channels with regards to customer segmentation and buyer persona strategies

You will ideally have


Grade 12 (mandatory) Relevant tertiary qualification is an advantage 1-3 years' work experience in product marketing management within the ICT hardware business or related market and/or direct and indirect sales experience of printing devices with related software Experienced in working on an international level - Engagement model Experienced in Document workflow analysis Competitor analysis Complete Product launches Efficient in MS Office Suite Good verbal and written communication skills Good presentation skills to host training and presentations to internal and external customers A professional presence, vocabulary and communication skills are essential Team player, comfortable working with others and collaborative Adaptable to change in work setting Be responsible and accept new ways of doing your job
