Job Description
A medical equipment supplier of laboratory products and solutions seeks to employ a Product Manager for their Johannesburg region. He/she will travel wherever required. The focus will be on specific companys products. Please only apply if you have a valid license, your own reliable vehicle along with the relevant experience and qualifications required!!
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Completed Grade 12/Matric
- Completed Science Degree/National Diploma/Diploma is Essential!
- Minimum 5 years experience in external sales within a medical devices/equipment or scientific/laboratory environment NON-NEGOTIABLE!!!
- Own Car and Valid Drivers license NON NEGOTIABLE!!

- Computer literate
Planning: Identify business opportunities for product brands. Set sales targets for each product brand. Formulate strategies and plans to achieve sales targets for each product brand. Align plans and strategies with sales plans of external sales representatives
Management Control Systems: Set up sales call diary one week in advance by close of play on Friday
Sales growth: Conduct sales appointments in conjunction with external sales representatives
Territory management: Conduct research into new market sectors regarding needs, consumption patterns, current suppliers and brand utilized
Brand development: Ensure that business opportunities are identified across the range of the companys products
Procurement: Liaise with suppliers regarding terms and conditions of agency agreement. Negotiate best prices and supply terms. Minimise supply lag periods. Ensure adequate holding of stock items
