Product Manager: Fibre - CPT, Northern SuburbsMain Purpose of the Job:Mweb has a vacancy for a product manager, who, reporting to the Head of Connectivity and will be responsible and accountable for the management of our fibre (FTTH) products within the connectivity portfolio.Job Output:Provide input into the strategic direction for the product portfolio, including a defined product roadmapAct as the business owner for MWEB products and services, which may be under development, in use or undergoing extension or redevelopmentBe responsible for business and product feasibility in relation to business modeling and costing modelsNegotiation with internal departments to launch new products and to enhance existing productsConduct monthly and ad-hoc competitor reviewsGo-to-Market and co-ordination for product rollouts and pricing changes, enhancements, and promotionsPro-actively propose review and propose new opportunities, pricing changes or responses to market changesAdapt products across multiple channels, for our consumers, corporates, and resellersCommercial negotiations with potential partners and vendorsMaintain and manage relationships with various suppliersBe the knowledge expert on the core product detail and processesLiaison with legal and compliance functions to ensure compliance of products and servicesDocument and define product business rulesManagement of the associate product manager in execution of product changes, support, and product launches Skills and Competencies:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsProject management and co-ordination abilitiesMust be able to work under pressureAbility to manage multiple tasks concurrentlyShow an aptitude for problem analysis and resolution.Commercial and mathematical skills essentialShow pro-active initiative and strategic thinkingPresentation skillsConfident and resilientPeople orientedAttention to detailStrong negotiation and analytical abilities QualificationsDegree or diploma in a commercial or technical field. (BCom, Engineering or Computer Science) would be advantageousKnowledge of ISP industryExperience in a sales and marketing environmentProficient in MS Word and MS PowerPoint, and an advanced competency in MS ExcelProven competence in all areas of Product Life-Cycle ManagementExperience:Minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a product management, ISP or telecommunications industry.Experience with presentations to senior management and external stakeholders
