RESPONSIBILITIES:
One of the key elements for the candidate is understanding the Kasi (Spaza) economy, entrepreneurship and the ability to do more frequent visits to the traders for empathy. Innovation would be built on the ability to analyse and interpret stats with the understanding of what our system capabilities are.
Business Solutions products and its success end to end
Develop new products/solutions to improve the accessibility to cash in for the merchant
Enhance the Flash Advance product through innovation based on merchant's needs and system capabilities
Merchant market visits in various parts of the country for in-depth insights on merchant's needs.
Develop new liquidity products such as working capital and new cash-in channels that support the growth of the merchant's business
Collaborating with numerous cross-functional teams (both technical and non-technical) to coordinate and manage product changes, processes, and growth
Developing detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories, in collaboration with product development team and systems architects
Driving the technical process with the relevant teams and cells, including stand-ups
Maximizing business value and opportunity from a product
Collaborating with internal teams to identify opportunities to grow trader engagement, and increase product usage
Performing market research and studying industry trends
Reporting on the performance of the product based on set OKRs and Metrics.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
2-5 years of relevant Product Owner or Product Management experience
Experience in managing projects/products from ideation to deployment.
Understanding of key fundamentals of entrepreneurship.
Have an interest and understanding of the formal and informal business sectors.
Good Technical competency and good understanding of systems, architecture and the constraints thereof.
Experience in working using multiple project methodologies with cross-functional teams
Good ability to motivate for priority and get commitments from internal stakeholders, including product development teams and leaders at multiple levels across the organization and with external partners where required
Strong relationship building skills and business acumen
Great problem-solving skills through analysis and innovation
The ability to build a Product strategy, roadmap, manage a backlog and prioritise effectively.
Appetite and interest in industry/product trends and related concepts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Extreme attention to detail and ability to search, view, understand and interpret patterns.
