Implement and support composite manufacturing processes for products including tooling,
technical software, process optimisation and best practice methods from project initiation to
serial production handover.
Meet product technical specification requirements and project timelines.
Engineering design and data management including milestone resource planning, reporting,
technical guidance to designers, concept evaluation and change management.
Review of Engineering Change Proposals.
Participate in projects from KOM (Kick-off Meeting), through development & qualification
phases, up to hand-over at PRRM (Production Readiness Review Meeting).
Overseeing development and qualification testing with the assistance of Testing and
Certification staff.
Management of production verification sampling.
Assisting with requests for proposals from customers, in cooperation with Sales and Program
Management.
Customer liaison and on-site technical support may be required from time to time.
Requirements & Skills:
Tertiary education: B.Eng. or B.Tech. Mechanical.
Minimum 5 years relevant work experience, with at least 3 years project management
experience in the manufacturing industry essential.
Experience in operating in a multi-project environment with different customers.
Demonstrated ability to work on a global level interfacing with diverse cultures.
Expertise in composite design and manufacturing processes preferable.
Sound knowledge in CAE software, preferably CATIA V5 and MasterCAM Machining.
SAP or equivalent ERP experience advantageous.
Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods, and work in a dusty and noisy environment with
exposure to raw materials and/or finished products.
Willingness to travel locally and abroad on supplier and customer visits
