We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Culinary Product Developer to drive dairy category growth and culinary excellence across multiple departments.
This cross-functional role requires a creative and detail-oriented Culinary Product Developer to develop new food products from concept to launch - blending your culinary flair, technical expertise, and commercial insight to create products that delight consumers and strengthen our brand.
Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in Food Technology, Consumer Science, or a related field
Degree or B-Tech in Food Science/Food Technology is advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a food-related FMCG environment; exposure to dairy or cheese products is advantageous.
Valid driver's license.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Experience with kitchen or product management software (advantageous).
Competencies:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in creating and adapting recipes based on dietary needs and trends
Experience in training kitchen staff on new recipes and costing strategies.
Solid knowledge of food costing, pricing strategies, and profitability management.
Ability to calculate and adjust recipe costs for profitability without compromising quality.
Ability to analyse sensory data and interpret nutritional and regulatory information.
Experience with regulatory guidelines for food products and labeling.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.

What You Will Do
Lead and support the development of new dairy-based products from concept through to launch.
Collaborate with product developers, commercial, quality and technical teams to align culinary culinary innovation with business goals.
Enhance and optimise existing product formulations to improve quality, consistency, and efficiency.
Partner with suppliers and buying teams to manage product briefs, trials, and supplier development.
Conduct sensory evaluations, benchmarking, and market research to identify opportunities for innovation.
Ensure all products comply with food safety, quality and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate product documentation, specifications and development records.
Support packaging and labelling initiatives in line with brand identity and legal requirements.
Prepare presentations, samples, and reports for product reviews and internal stakeholders.
