The Procurement Officer will be responsible for procurement of all packaging materials for Chateau Gateaux. The purpose of the role is to efficiently plan and coordinate the on-time supply of packaging materials to satisfy the completion of production orders on time and in full. The objective of the Procurement Officer position is to provide an efficient and effective procurement service by obtaining competitive prices from suppliers, delivering the most value while fulfilling business requirements. The Procurement Officer will be responsible to have a strong focus on the improvement of the packaging material procurement process with optimal saving initiatives for both the factory and overall business.

REQUIREMENTS

Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement or Similar. Proficient in Excel and other computer software's(SAGE is preferable). Proficient in ERP systems particularly in Procurement modules. 3 years' relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, material planning or relevant environment (FMCG environment is advantageous) Working Knowledge of acceptable business practices & accounting principles

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

oLead the procurement of all packaging materials as operational inventory

oManaging of company packaging material spend

oMonitor in-house inventory movement to determine and accurately manage packaging material stock levels to best optimise cash flow and ensure working capital objectives and strategy are delivered.

oAnalysis of Data to better understand and expose opportunities in the business to optimise cost.

oManagement packaging material order placement and artwork changeovers in order to eliminate business waste risk.

oDevelop, maintain, implement & ensure adherence to procurement policies & procedures.

oConduct research to source & identify new suppliers for both new and existing materials.

oMaintain strong operational working relationship with strategic suppliers to ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met.

oEnsure that interactions with suppliers & potential suppliers are compliant with procurement policies, procedures & best practices

oNegotiation and contract Management including supplier relationship management - Negotiate favourable terms, pricing and delivery schedules with existing and new suppliers

oCollect, analyse & summarise purchasing data & trends

oFinding Opportunities on Cost Saving through various parts of the business related to procurement

oNegotiating with external vendors/suppliers to secure advantageous terms

oMonitor and update relevant departments on price increases and fluctuations and Manage this closely considering new world scenarios
