Main purpose of the position:

This individual need to have an intimate knowledge of the Citrus growing business, know the producers in the area and understand the culture and ways of working very well.
The purpose of this position will be to expand the fresh fruit sourcing footprint of the company in the north and obtain bigger volumes.
This position will be responsible for the procurement of fresh citrus fruit.
The fruit will be procured from growers in South Africa and then exported to customers across the world.

Requirements:

5 years experience in the Citrus Industry.
Matric however a tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
Computer literate.
Fluent in English and in Afrikaans.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good communication skills, being able to communicate with people from all walks of life.
Be able to work on his or her own as they will not be based close to a company office.
Valid drivers licence.
Sound knowledge of citrus quality processes and systems.
Sound knowledge of citrus pack house processes and system.
Basic understanding of citrus farming processes.
