Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for potential contracts and supplier agreements.
  • Manage the procurement budget, promoting sustainable cost-saving initiatives.
  • Oversee IT systems related to shipment tracking, inventory management, and supply chain logistics.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive procurement reports for internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement innovative, cost-effective procurement strategies.
  • Source, evaluate, and engage dependable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate favorable contract terms to optimize value and mitigate risk.
  • Review and monitor existing supplier agreements to ensure compliance and continued effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with key vendors and suppliers.
  • Authorize purchase requisitions and coordinate timely delivery of goods and services.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field (NQF Level 7).
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
  • Background in Mining, Construction, Engineering, or Manufacturing sectors is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Solid track record in supplier sourcing, negotiation, and relationship management.
