Procurement Manager

to join our team in

Tokai, Cape Town.

What does the role entail?

Proactively manage the procurement of goods and materials for our in-house Refurbishment and Facilities team

Generate and approve purchase orders

Ensure optimum stock and inventory levels at all times

Ensure best value for money for the Company by negotiating pricing and cost savings within our network of suppliers

Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, stock and transportation logs

Plan and strategise the transportation of goods and materials to and from the respective retirement villages

Closely collaborate with the refurbishment team to ensure that they have all the necessary goods and materials for refurbishments

Control costs of goods and materials in alignment with agreed budgets

Manage and advise on good practice for procurement policies and protocols

Prepare, issue, and evaluate tenders or RFQs (Requests for Quotation); manage contract performance and renewals.

Track procurement metrics (cost savings, supplier performance, stock levels, lead times) and report to management.

Work with internal departments to understand needs, plan demand, and align procurement with operational requirements.

Manage PPS and budget tracking tools

What are the requirements of the role?

A completed tertiary education in supply chain, logistics or a closely related field

10 years relevant working experience

Numerically proficient

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

Ability to manage budgets and deliver measurable cost savings.

Must have drive and a sense of urgency

Must reside in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town or within a 20 minute commute thereof

Have own transport
