Are you a dynamic professional with over 5 years of experience in procurement?

We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated Procurement clerk to join our team.

We are a fast-paced hardware distribution company, looking for a proactive procurement clerk. We require a candidate with experience in dealing with foreign suppliers and manufactures and arranging deliveries. Someone who can engage in a professional level and is a sound negotiator for pricing.

Responsibilities

Negotiate pricing of products and with suppliers and/or agents.

Create purchase orders

Prepare buying of local and foreign products

Track incoming goods of both local and foreign

Respond to supplier and agents' inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations

Monitor inventory movements

Work closely with Excel spreadsheets to keep track of all orders and suppliers

Effective communication with suppliers and agents

Maintain accurate filing system of all orders and correspondence from start to finish

Maintain Supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation

Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications

Maintain records of goods ordered and received

Evaluate suppliers based on quality, timeliness and price

Maintain and update chemical label recon and distribution to suppliers

Stock master updates

Maintain and update specification sheets for each item

Create item codes on pastel

Attend to queries on the sales-force group

Update all WIP trackers

Maintain and update database with errors, credits and queries from suppliers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R7500,00 - R8000,00 per month
