PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS OFFICER - PROJECTS - CPT, NORTHERN SUBURBSMinimum requirements:Tertiary qualification related to procurement, supply chain, logistics, buying5+ years relevant work experience2+ years supervisory/management experienceStrong analytical skillsExcellent communication skillsAbility to negotiate contracts and payment termsAccurate maintaining of records and ensure that goods and services are of high qualityStrong Leadership skillsAbility to work under pressure - prioritizing tasksValid driver's LicenseClear understanding of procurement ethicsERP/MRP experience eg. SAPProficient on Microsoft officeDuties and ResponsibilitiesProcess orders (ZAPPR) and follow-up on third party ordersRun analysis and execute reports (MRP)Perform and update inbound shipmentsUpdate ETA as request, maintain late ordersAssist with import receiving and MIGOUpdate and maintain import airfreight reportLiaise with suppliers to build relationships, ensure the best pricing and source alternative suppliers as required.Check and confirm that all import/export documentation are in orderPlan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customersDeliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements.Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providersReview impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to othersSupport continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunitiesEnsure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements by ensuring accurate picking of inventory by teamEnsure all inventory is prepped and packed as per each project's requirementsS&OP and LEAN responsibility to be define once implemented.Available for stock take is compulsory
