Job Advert Summary

To schedule, monitor and ensure cleaning of purification systems, filters, chemical lines and dosing plants as well as safe isolations of systems and pipelines when requested.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) NQF level 4/ N3 Water and Wastewater Treatment Desired qualification National Diploma - Water Care or equivalent A valid driver's license with ability to pass the Randwater K53 test 5years Process plant experience Desired Experience: 5years Water process experience Rigging qualification and experience Class V Process Controller Classification SHEQ Training

Primary Duties

+ Daily cleaning of screens of canal and intake pumps when operational. + Scheduled and emergency cleaning of chemical tanks and dosing lines.
+ Cleaning and maintaining scour valves
+ Cleaning of the carbonation bays and equipment
+ Cleaning of sump to remove sludge
+ Dressing of filter media and replacing of nozzles
+ Regular inspection of the plant
+ Operation of manual valves as required
+ Assist with isolation on main pumps and pipelines.
+ Reporting of defects in time to ensure plant availability
+ Reporting of unsafe act or conditions
+ Ensuring lighting and ventilation adequately by reporting defects
+ Ensure all ISO requirements are met and complied with
