• Lead a team of Validation Scientists
• Provide leadership skills and technical expertise in technology transfer projects, including preparation of product/ process risk assessments, definition of de-risking strategies and alignment with all in involved functions on the transfer plan.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Responsible for process science activities related to Lifecycle Management projects
• Analyse existing processes and recommend improvements for enhanced performance.
• Monitor and evaluate production data to ensure optimal functionality and output.
• Ensure compliance and relevance of validation strategies defined and executed by the validation team
• Represent Process Science in the leadership team in Cape Town.
• Provide technical guidance and training to team members and stakeholders.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support process improvements and operational changes.
• Be based at the site in the Western Cape

The Successful Applicant
A successful Process Science Lead should have:

• A Masters degree in a chemistry or pharmaceutical area
• More than 8 years of experience in OTC or Pharmaceutical manufacturing process, Troubleshooting management and Site Transfers
• Ideally come from the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
• Strong expertise in pharmaceutical dosage forms such as solid dosage forms and liquids
• Strong leadership skills and Servant leadership attitude.
• Strong complexity and risk management skills
• Strong Risk management skills and being able to work independently on multiple projects.
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A proactive and innovative approach to improving operational efficiency
