Process Foreman (day Shift)

Job Description
Responsible for overseeing the cleaning of evaporators, day to day operations of the Rawhouse and improvement of the factory performance by carrying out specific tasks, projects, and plant audits.
- National Diploma /B.Sc./ Btech Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years working as a Process Foreman and 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a sugar manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in food safety standards and FSSC 22000 is essential.
- Further Managerial or Leadership development will be beneficial.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Sound labour relations management and interactive skills.
- A high level of computer literacy.
Manages evaporator cleaning and maintenance of evaporator cleaning equipment.
- Liaises with Stores to keep spares for evaporator cleaning equipment.
- Inspects evaporators after cleaning and signs off vessels.
- Conducts Quality and Food Safety audits in the Back End and ensure compliance to safety standards. Liaises with Process department service providers to ensure good condition of plant and equipment. Assists in achieving desired overall exhaustions in all grades of massecuite.
- Identifies improvement opportunities to meet sugar production targets.
- Eliminates/reduces sucrose loss to the effluent plant.
- Performs planned job observation on hazardous tasks.
- Conducts investigations to close non-conformances.
- Provides on the job training and assessment to operators.
- Performs stand-by duties.
- Responsible for improving and maintaining plant housekeeping and FSSC standard.
