Job Opportunity: Process Engineer - Port Elizabeth
We are currently recruiting for a
Process Engineer
to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Port Elizabeth. This role is critical to supporting operational excellence and driving continuous improvement across production processes.Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and improve processes within foundry, machining, and assembly operations Lead root cause investigations using techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and DMAIC Develop practical, data-backed solutions to manufacturing challenges Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including frontline operators and senior management Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies Prepare clear visual presentations and reports to communicate findings and progress Stay up to date with industry best practices and apply research-driven methods to enhance efficiency
Requirements:
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Metallurgical, or related) Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma (certification preferred) Strong computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CAD and analytics tools is an advantage Relevant hands-on experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably in foundry or machining Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills Self-starter with a strong desire to learn and take ownership Familiarity with process mapping and data analysis tools
