The purpose of the position is to provide a support service to the engineering and manufacturing departments of CBI Electric. To establish, maintain and optimize manufacturing and assembly capability in line with the current manufacturing requirements and latest industry technologies and support the new product development process through ensuring that new designs align with manufacturing and assembly capabilities and capacities.
Job description
?The work and responsibilities will cover a range of activities, not limited to the following duties:
?Support new product development to ensure manufacturing and assembly capability and process optimisation
?New product assembly line planning in conjunction with assembly plant management
?Technical support for manufacturing department processes and equipment
?Initiating and implementing process automation projects
?Plant layouts
?Maintaining manufacturing capability
?Investigating latest manufacturing technology trends
?Investigating and implementing CAPEX projects
?Initiating continuous improvement projects aimed at improving efficiencies and reducing costs
?Supporting cost accounting functions with regards to work centre and cost centre rates
Minimum requirements
BEng / BTech (Mechanical or Mechatronics)
At least 3 years' experience in a multi-disciplinary manufacturing environment;
Process automation experience is essential
Self-driven and enthusiastic
