An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Process Engineer to join a leading team delivering professional services across the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors. This role will be focusing on process design, optimization, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will contribute to improving operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to drive project success, in the Northern Cape.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine process flowsheets for magnetite recovery.
• Conduct metallurgical test work and interpret results to improve recovery rates.
• Collaborate with plant design teams to ensure process efficiency and scalability.
• Provide technical support during commissioning and ramp-up phases.
• Monitor plant performance and troubleshoot process deviations.
• Recommend improvements to reduce energy consumption and waste.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation of process changes and outcomes.
• Ensure processes meet environmental and safety standards.
• Support initiatives that reduce environmental impact and enhance sustainability.
• Work closely with mining, environmental, and project teams.
• Liaise with external consultants and technology providers.

Qualifications and Skills Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, metallurgical engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in mineral processing, preferably in iron ore or tailings reprocessing.
• Familiarity with magnetic separation, flotation, and dewatering technologies.
• Experience with process simulation tools (e.g., METSIM, HSC Chemistry).
