Process Engineer (industrial Engineering / Chemical Processing Industry)

Melrose, Johannesburg
Minimum Requirements
MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering (or closely related)
1 year experience (internships, research, or PhD work accepted)
Strong fundamentals in reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and transport phenomena
Power BI experience (non-negotiable)
Exposure to Python or MATLAB and data analysis
Strong analytical and communication skills
Key Responsibilities
Support process design, analysis, and optimisation
Perform mass & energy balances and process simulations
Analyse operational data to identify improvement opportunities
Build Power BI dashboards for KPIs and process performance
Apply basic AI / machine learning techniques to process data
Assist with scale-up, validation, and continuous improvement
Work closely with operations, R&D, automation, and data teams
Prepare technical reports and documentation
Support safety, quality, and sustainability initiatives
