Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization

  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process control systems and automation to enhance productivity.
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives and yield improvements without compromising quality.
Design and Implementation
  • Design and scale-up manufacturing processes from lab-scale to full production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Maintenance to integrate new equipment or processes.
  • Manage projects from inception to commissioning
  • Create and maintain detailed process documentation, such as PFDs, SOPs, and control plans.
Quality and Compliance
  • Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with quality standards
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective action for process deviations and non-conformities.
  • Participate in audits and support regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to the management of change process
Problem Solving
  • Identify and analyze production issues, determining their root causes
  • Develop and implement effective solutions to resolve production problems promptly
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address complex issues
  • Continuously seek opportunities to anticipate and prevent potential problems
. Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to monitor trends and identify problems.
  • Use statistical process control (SPC) and other analytical tools to guide decision-making.
  • Report findings and present recommendations to management.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance
  • Promote a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Ensure all processes adhere to environmental and occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate safeguards.
People Development & Training
  • Train team members & production staff on new processes
  • Train and support production staff on proper use of equipment and adherence to processes
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; Mechanical Engineering & Industrial Engineering will be considered
  • 3-5 years of experience in a process engineering role in the manufacturing industry
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Project management certification will be a plus
  • Knowledge of GMP will be a plus
  • Proficiency with drawing tools/software (preferably AutoCAD & AutoCAD Plant 3D)
  • Knowledge of ERP and CMMS systems is a plus
