About the Role
We are seeking a qualified and motivated
Process Controller
to join our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation, monitoring, and control of water and/or wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and optimize water/wastewater treatment plant processes and equipment. Conduct sampling and basic laboratory analysis (e.g., pH, turbidity, chlorine residual, COD, BOD). Record, analyze, and report process and laboratory data accurately. Maintain compliance with the Water Services Act, environmental regulations, and safety protocols. Adjust chemical dosing and process parameters to maintain optimal water quality. Perform routine inspections, basic maintenance, and assist with fault-finding and process improvements.
Minimum Requirements
Qualification:
Diploma or Degree inChemistry
,Water Care
,Environmental Science
, orChemical Engineering
.Experience:
At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in a water or wastewater treatment environment.Added Advantage:
Class III/IV Process Controller Certificate (DWAF/DWS recognized). Experience with SCADA systems and laboratory equipment.Skills and Competencies
Strong technical and analytical skills. Knowledge of water/wastewater process operations and chemical dosing. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Computer literacy (MS Office, SCADA).
