The

Skukuza Golf Club

in the Kruger National Park is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Golf Operations and Pro Shop Assistant. This role is a key part of ensuring smooth daily operations of the golf course and delivering a high-quality experience for members and guests. Responsibilities span from assisting with golf operations to retail sales and customer service in the Pro Shop.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Meet & Greet golfers, check them in, and manage tee times using booking software. Assist with the organization and execution of tournaments and events. Maintain a clean and organized staging area, including golf carts and rental equipment. Monitor pace of play and assist with course flow as needed. Support with opening and closing procedures for golf operations. Assist customers with retail purchases, providing product knowledge and recommendations. Assist in scheduling and coordinating daily tee times for members, guests, and groups. Assist with adjusting tee times, managing booking systems, and confirming reservations. Stock, organize, and merchandise golf apparel, accessories, and equipment. Assist with inventory management including restocking and inventory counts. Operate the POS system to complete sales transactions accurately. Provide exceptional service to all members and guests, resolving any issues or concerns promptly. Answer phone inquiries related to tee times, lessons, and general course information. Promote club services including lessons, memberships, and special promotions.

Qualifications & Experience

Grade 12 Previous experience in golf operations, retail, or customer service preferred. Knowledge of the game of golf and basic golf terminology is an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable using POS systems and booking software (training provided). Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Ability to lift golf equipment and work on your feet for extended periods
