Job Description

Key purpose of the role



To provide essential finance and administrative support within the radio station environment by managing the end-to-end process of prize verification and distribution. This includes ensuring timely, accurate, and professional communication with winners, and maintaining a prize process that is efficient, compliant, and fit for purpose.

The role also supports the broader finance function by assisting accountants and finance managers with core responsibilities such as:

Performing account reconciliations and processing financial data;

Supporting management account reviews and month-end processes;

Contributing to continuous improvement of systems and financial procedures.

In doing so, the prizes and finance administrator ensures both an exceptional listener experience and sound financial administration.

Key outputs / accountability

Prizes Administration

Liaise with Sales, Programming, Service Providers, Listeners and Finance peers daily regarding winners and competitions being run.

Authenticate and load winner's documentation received (ID and bank confirmation) daily

Comply with the organizational Policies and Procedures as well as other relevant legislation/governance concerning the administration of prizes

Effectively and professionally communicate with winners in line with approved policy.

Pack and dispatch prizes to winners

Respond to queries from prize winners, programming, sales department and finance peers

Accurately load winners onto the RAM system for prizes delivery

Follow up with Debtors on the status of prize invoices

Completing Prize reconciliations as and when required either by clients on internal stakeholders.

Monitor upcoming Competitions



Follow up with CS on upcoming prizes in order to proactively plan around and prioritising as well as organizing prize payments.

General Administrative and Finance Support



Including but not limited to:



Accounts payable, cashbook and reconciliations

Processing of invoices and Prize payments on Sage

Capturing of payments on FNB banking platform

Accounts analysis to enable effective management account reviews

Office filling

BBEE certificate updates

Support with special and recurring projects including assistance to internal and external auditors, review and refinement of processes and systems.

Minimum required qualification



Minimum of an accounting or Finance Diploma

Qualifications considered advantageous



Minimum of two years' experience in an administrative environment
