This role is based in 144 Oxford Road, Rosebank.





-Provide support for the CEO's Office to run efficiently and effectively.


Performance and Delivery: + Supporting the CEO in safe and efficient delivery of business objectives. This includes driving safety ownership by the CEO across the business.
+ Manage the urgent and important deliverables of the CEO Office including ExCo meetings, Board reporting, Investor reporting, engagement briefings, strategic communications, etc. This includes preparing the CEO's report to the Board - the Chief Executive's principal delivery for the Board, managing the interface with other corporate reporting processes and programme management of function and Group to ensure contributions are delivered timeously, and contain the correct levels of detail.
+ Manage the preparedness for the CEO engagements and meetings (i.e. briefing notes and supporting material).
+ Coordinate and ensure adherence to Executive Routines, supporting the Head of the CEO's Office to align and streamline (where appropriate) governance processes so that all approvals and decisions are executed seamlessly. Provide support to ensure there are efficient decision-making processes to deliver on our purpose, strategy and mitigate risks, as well as look for opportunities to improve ensuring we remain agile as a business.
+ Manage and track operational-related workstreams and matters that are for the attention of the CEO and CEO Office - as well as any operational matters that carry risk to the CEO legally and with respect to the business plan.
+ Investigate key issues/topics and prepare briefing papers to assist the Chief Executive and Head of the CEO's Office.
+ Project management support to co-ordinate ExCo initiatives and company-wide interventions for which the CEO requires tracking and accurate reporting managing trade-offs and identifying conflicts.
+ Proactively partner and maintain stakeholder relationships to shape opinions and share information broadly in the business, to bring purpose and context.
+ Manage and implement "special projects" for quick resolution of critical business issues. As initiated by the CEO, this role will be accountable to investigate or clarify issues in the business and/or deliver a business change project.
Sustainability & Social + Manage delivery of the sustainability activities as relevant to the discipline to improve sustainability performance over time.
+ Participate in and support the business cross-functional integration on sustainability.
+ Ensure compliance with environmental and social requirements as relevant to discipline, including commitments to stakeholders.
+ Ensure environmental and social risks triggered by or impacting on discipline are identified and mitigated as part of the asset risk management approach.
+ Ensure environmental and social opportunities relevant for discipline are identified and translated into sustainability initiatives.
+ Foster awareness of environmental and social sustainability within discipline and ensure full impact decision making.
+ Implement and participate in processes that build relationships with key all stakeholders:
+ Participate in engagement forums as relevant to discipline.
Ensure any engagements with stakeholders are consistent with long-term sustainability initiatives and standards.

People & Teams: + Participate as an effective team member in working collaboratively with your leader, peers and relevant others to achieve business goals.
Contribute to the broader business by working with others in such a way that it optimises the overall business results.

Compliance: + Ensure discipline with external (legislative, regulatory, permitting) requirements. Apply required compliance governance for the discipline. Oversee investigation of incidents (safety, health, environmental and social) occurring within the discipline.


Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mining or Mining Engineering or Finance and or related. Master's degree or Business Qualification. 15 years' experience in a mining / industrial organisation. Postgraduate or Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) advantageous.

Technical Skills



Advanced knowledge in analysis, problem solving and strategic acumen. Advanced skills in the ability to rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Advanced skills in being able to work collaboratively and effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation as well as with important external entities. Advanced at internal and external communications; report and memo writing, speech preparation for the CEO. Advanced analytical skills to be able to surface and address pros and cons of issues under review.
