Job Title: Principal Location: Springs, South Africa Starting Date: January 2024 About Enderun Colleges: Enderun Colleges is an exceptional private school in Gauteng Province, dedicated to providing the highest quality education to our students. We are seeking a Principal to join our dynamic leadership team and continue our mission of fostering well-rounded and academically successful students. Minimum Requirements: Professional & Educational Qualifications & SACE Registered Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar and/or Principal role High School management experience Computer literate with excellent time management skills A background in business would be advantageous Strong interpersonal, people, and emotional intelligence skills Ability to effectively manage people Proficient in financial management and budgeting, with the ability to effectively oversee and manage the financial aspects of a school or educational institution Fluent in English Duties and Responsibilities: As the Principal at Enderun Colleges, you will have a broad range of responsibilities, including: Academic Excellence: Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff regarding academic performance. School Operations: Manage, evaluate, and supervise clear and effective procedures for the school's day-to-day operation in line with our school's philosophy, mission, values, and goals. Extracurricular Activities: Oversee extracurricular activities, discipline systems, building maintenance, program evaluation, personnel management, office operations, and emergency procedures. Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, Department of Basic Education (DBE) policies, and best practices in education. Inclusivity: Create an inclusive environment that celebrates and accommodates the diverse cultures within our local community. Curriculum Development: Establish the annual master schedule for instructional programs, ensuring a progressive learning experience. Instructional Supervision: Supervise the instructional programs, evaluate lesson plans, and observe classes to ensure high-quality education. Personnel Management: Lead in a fair and consistent manner, ensuring effective discipline and attendance systems with high standards. Safety and Welfare: Take responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of students, employees, and visitors, and conduct regular drills for emergencies and disasters. Parental Engagement: Communicate regularly with parents to create a cooperative and supportive relationship. Financial Management: Oversee fee collection and manage activity funds and money collected from parents. Communication: Be responsible for the school's newsletter and communications to parents. Leadership: Exhibit strong leadership skills, adaptability, and motivational abilities, and lead by example in creating an appropriate and productive school environment. Collaboration: Attend management and strategic meetings to contribute to the development of high-quality educational services. Reporting: Provide quarterly student grade and behavior reports to parents. Uniform Policy: Enforce the school's uniform and appearance policy. Administration: Maintain confidentiality of records and information, and supervise procedures for addressing the special needs of students. Exclusion: Supervise the exclusion of students when necessary and communicate with parents or guardians regarding the reasons for exclusion. Delegation: Delegate duties and responsibilities as needed for effective school operation.
