The purpose is to be the overarching expert and owner for Systems Engineering.

Your duties will include:

  • Work with various engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical etc.) to ensure that various subsystems and components are integrated and function together seamlessly
  • Will be responsible in Engineering & Maintenance for operational readiness.
  • Address issues related to interoperability
  • Develop and execute verification and validation plans to confirm that the system meets the specified requirements and functions correctly. This may involve testing, simulations, and validation activities
  • Implement a risk management process to identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the system's lifecycle
  • Implement quality assurance processes and best practices to ensure that the system meets established quality standards and industry best practices
  • Conduct trade-off analysis to make informed decisions about system design and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate individual components into a coherent and functioning system
  • Implement configuration management to control changes and maintain system integrity
  • Develop and execute a system verification and validation plan to ensure the system meets user needs and expectations
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate system performance, incorporating feedback to improve and update the system as needed
  • Develop reliability block diagrams for systems
  • Willingness to travel extensively
Qualifications
  • An undergraduate Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
  • A postgraduate qualification in Systems Engineering would be advantageous.
Experience
  • Extensive experience in the specification, design, commissioning and operation of asset management systems
  • Experience in Engineering Risk Management
  • Exposure to the development of block diagrams
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with cross functionally with all stakeholders to deliver system solutions that are best for the business.
  • Effectively influence and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to achieve required outcomes set by the business.
  • Encourage collaboration by building trust and relationships across international borders.
  • Facilitate agreement and co-operation using a diplomatic and open approach.
  • Lead change by alerting and engaging with people about the need for change and foster a culture which is open to change.
  • Work with diverse teams and to be sensitive to local social, political and cultural realities.
  • Interact across all mediums of interaction i.e. face to face vs. virtual interactions with team and stakeholders.
