Job Description
Are you a dedicated Medical Scientist looking to make an impact? Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Medical Scientist to join their team on a fixed-term contract until March 31, 2025.
Minimum Requirements & Key Competencies:
- Education: MSc or equivalent in Medical Science in a relevant field/PhD (NQF Level 9).
- Experience: 5 years of relevant experience as a Scientist.
- Management: At least 1 year of management experience.
- Specialized Skills: At least 2 years of experience in next-generation sequencing.
- Registration: Registered with HPCSA as a Medical Scientist (Virology).
- Lab Skills: Proficiency in laboratory instruments and interpreting numerical laboratory results.
- Communication: Strong communication skills.
- Customer Care: Demonstrated customer care skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Effective interpersonal skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities.
- Problem Solving: Proven problem-solving skills.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail.
- Pressure Handling: Ability to work under pressure and manage high work volumes while staying current with academic literature.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in computer skills.
