Job Description
About the role Our client is seeking a dedicated Principal Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities within the Solar Energy sector.
??? What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the design, specification, and implementation of electrical systems for major projects.
- Oversee electrical engineering deliverables including schematics, layouts, single-line diagrams, and load calculations.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Conduct technical reviews, site inspections, and system testing.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, civil, and project management teams to deliver integrated solutions.
?? What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.Eng / BSc)
- ECSA registration (Pr.Eng) or eligibility preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design, construction, or commissioning.
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems (LV, MV, HV).
- Experience with AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar design software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
