KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Safety, Health, and Environment

• Ensure safety and 4S culture during all activities of the project team.
• Ensure team adherence to TSAM safety guidelines.

Quality

• Ensure adherence to Department SOP's and Work Instructions in accordance with ISO9001 requirements and develop new or kaizen as required.
• Show high level of ability to gather accurate information from multiple sources and be able to make accurate summary.
• High levels of capability to prepare documents and presentations for Senior Management under strict time pressures.

Project Delivery

• Presentation - To all levels of management with respect to project status, risks and recommendations.

- Plan and prepare for the conducting of vehicle tests in support of component development/homologation/audit programs. * Analyse results - pass judgment and make recommendations.

• FTR - investigations and support QA in quality problem investigations.
• Cost - identify potential product and operational cost savings through VE/VA and cost savings suggestion schemes.
• Quality & Stable production - investigate product and field problems using vehicle testing procedures as required and suggest countermeasures.
• Ensure - that all project deadlines are met and follow up on QPR/QIR investigations.
• Business reformations - create and issue test reports. Establish and maintain ISO 9001compliant administrative system.

Cost Reduction

• Understand project factors that contribute to higher investment and impact vehicle cost.
• Manage product profitability improvement activities to achieve project and company targets.
• Drive localisation to improve TSAM cost competitiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum NQF6 (minimum 360 credits on the 8-level framework) Relevant Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics and mechatronics Engineering.
• S4 + 4 years exp. or BSC + 3 years exp. in Mechanical Engineering or N6 + Motor Mechanic Trade test with a minimum of 6 years work experience in automotive field. (NQF 6 - 360 credits).
• Experience with computerized testing systems and their software will be an advantage.
• A comprehensive knowledge in Homologation testing will be an advantage.
• Class B driver's license is preferable.
• An advanced or higher-level driving course, successful completion, is advantageous.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Comprehensive knowledge of motor vehicle components and their fitment (must do fitment by self) is advantageous.
• High numeracy and presentation skills will be an advantage.
• Project Management skills will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of Toyota Global Systems (SMS, TENIS, BBS) will be an advantage.
