Setting the Scene:

NTT has embarked on an ambitious project to consolidate all our Internal Applications into a single governed Cloud platform hosted in Microsoft Azure.

This journey requires the skills of a Principle Technical Architect who can ensure the platform that we are building aligns to the architectural standards and governance expected by NTT.

Being the main point of contact for application owners looking to design new applications to guide them on the compliant infrastructure required to support their application, this role will provide consultancy to ensure applications are designed in a way that adhere to our blueprints and patterns.

They will also be responsible to engaging with application owners to support Application Optimization's looking at both a cost and a sustainability lens through the newly created Cloud Economics FinOps Practice.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Designing new Azure Subscriptions xe2x80x93 designing applications that donxe2x80x99t conform to a current Blueprint for approval by the Governance Board

Attending the twice-weekly Technical Governance board meeting

Accountable for the VWAN review and technical implementation

Lead Technical Architect for APM Discovery workstream with Application and Infrastructure owners.

Collaborate with Security Architect to review and manage Microsoft Tooling used to manage the I&T Tenant including Cloud Backup, Defender for Cloud, CSPM, Sentinel & Log Analytics
Review and approve the Low-Level Design changes for Cloud monthly (LLD version control)

Review Security Policy Changes as a stakeholder to apply and manage within our Azure Tenant

Cloud Economics FinOps Technical Lead:

• Evaluate and work with Applications Owners to drive cost optimization.
• Identify and manage down unused resources.
• Usage anomalies
• Review Azure Regional Workload placement
• Review SKU recommendations to optimize cost efficiency targets.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements in Disc Utilization and other associated application wastage.
• Review and manage AHUB licensing optimization within the Tenant.
• Participate in the Outsource Partner FINOPS Dashboard review and recommendation meetings monthly.
• Reviewing Azure Saving Plans, Reserved Instance and SPOT Rate Plans
• Sustainability Champion for FINOPS xe2x80x93 Leading green operations xe2x80x93 Monitoring, reporting, and managing our Carbon Emissions offset in Azure Cloud

Lead the Technical Workstreams associated with Automation in the Cloud xe2x80x93 working with partner Service Now, Digital Fabric and ITHUB

Evaluate new technology and vendors to drive FINOPS for I&T

Evaluate an Application Operations services in conjunction with other I&T departments.

Design and Implementation of Blueprints and Core Builds

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
Ability to construct solutions using their expertise of more of the functions offerings
Expert knowledge on Azure Cloud including infrastructure design best practices
Deep knowledge of reference architectures
Good knowledge of project management principles
Knowledge of vendor roadmaps, new developments and new product offerings
Analytical in their approach

Passionate about Sustainability
Display the required interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with a variety of stakeholders
Ability to share and communicate ideas clearly, both orally and in writing, to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear concise language

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Information Technology or related field of study would be advantageous

Microsoft Azure Certificates

Required Experience:
Demonstrable experience in multiple industries and across several disciplines
Experience with projects through the software development process
Demonstrable experience working as a solution architect/engineer in a global IT services provider organization
