Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and qualified tutors to provide ad hoc tutoring support to primary school and high school students in Cape Town. This is a flexible opportunity ideal for educators who enjoy helping learners achieve their academic goals on an as-needed basis. Sessions may cover a range of subjects including Mathematics, English, Science, History, and more, depending on student requirements. Tutoring will typically take place at students' homes or agreed venues, with sessions scheduled according to availability.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver personalised, one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions. Adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs and learning styles. Track and report on student progress where applicable. Maintain a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Requirements

Relevant teaching qualification or degree in Education, or substantial tutoring experience. Strong knowledge of the South African curriculum (CAPS & IEB) for primary and/or high school levels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable transportation to travel to tutoring locations within Cape Town. Availability for flexible, ad hoc scheduling, including evenings and weekends. Police clearance certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
