We are looking for a skilled Pricing Specialist for a global logistics company, to be responsible for analysing costs and market trends to develop competitive freight rates.
We are looking for an experienced Pricing Specialist for this global freight and logistics company. You will be responsible for developing competitive pricing strategies across multiple trade lanes. This role involves analysing market trends, customer requirements, and internal cost structures to provide accurate and timely quotations. The Specialist collaborates closely with sales, operations, and international partners to ensure that pricing supports business growth and profitability. You should be known for attention to detail, data-driven decision-making, and a deep understanding of the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
As a Pricing Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:

• Prepare competitive freight quotes for air, sea, and road transport based on customer requirements and current market conditions.
• Analyse cost structures and supplier rates to determine accurate and profitable pricing.
• Collaborate with sales teams to support business development with timely and strategic pricing solutions.
• Maintain pricing databases and ensure that all rates and tariffs are up to date and aligned with internal systems.
• Coordinate with global partners and agents to gather and validate pricing inputs for international shipments.
• Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to help adjust strategies and stay competitive.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer contractual obligations.
• Support tender and RFQ processes by preparing detailed cost breakdowns and pricing proposals.
• Provide insights and reports on pricing performance, margin analysis, and cost-saving opportunities.

• Excellent customer service orientation.

Minimum Requirements:

• A tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5-7 years' experience in pricing within the logistics or freight forwarding sector.
• Exposure to all transport modes, including breakbulk.
• Sound knowledge of incoterms.
• Matric with Mathematical subjects.
• 3-year Import or Export related qualification at NQF level 5.
