Job Description

Hire Resolve is currently looking for a Pricing Actuary to join our team. As a Pricing Actuary, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing models and strategies to ensure accurate and competitive insurance premiums. You will work closely with underwriters, data scientists, and other stakeholders to analyze market trends, assess risks, and provide data-driven pricing recommendations. Additionally, you will collaborate with the underwriting and sales teams to optimize business performance and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pricing models and strategies
• Involvement in all pricing activities in the Life & Health domain in South Africa
• Dervelop new and existing business pricing for all lines of life insurance business (Retail, Group, Credit Life, Financial Solutions)
• Analyze market trends and evaluate risks
• Provide data-driven pricing recommendations
• Collaborate with underwriting and sales teams to optimize business performance
• Stay updated with industry trends and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• 4+ years of experience as a Pricing Actuary
• Strong knowledge of insurance pricing methodologies and concepts
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Experience with actuarial software and programming languages
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
• Professional certifications (e.g., ASA, FSA) preferred
