Job Description

We are seeking an

enthusiastic, caring, and qualified Preschool Teacher

to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with young children and creating a

safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment

that promotes social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and Deliver Lessons

Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences in literacy, numeracy, music, art, physical development, and social skills.

Classroom Management

Create a safe, structured, and joyful classroom environment. Promote positive behavior using gentle discipline and guidance strategies.

Support Developmental Milestones

Observe and assess each child's development. Provide tailored support to help children achieve individual milestones.

Interactive Play

Encourage creative and cooperative play. Guide group and individual activities that support learning through play.

Parent Communication

Build positive relationships with families. Provide regular updates on children's progress and daily activities through written reports, meetings, or digital platforms.

Health & Safety

Maintain a clean and safe classroom. Ensure hygiene, nutrition, and safety protocols are strictly followed.

Team Collaboration

Work collaboratively with co-teachers, assistants, and school leadership to plan events, activities, and classroom goals.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Requirement

: Early Childhood Development (ECD) Level 4 certification or a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. Permanent SACE number. Valid Police Clearance. Experience working with children aged 1-6 years. Strong understanding of

child development principles

. Creative, energetic, and adaptable. CPR and First Aid certification. Strong personal faith and commitment to Biblical values. Ability to integrate spiritual principles and prayer into daily activities. Experience working in a Christian education setting is an advantage.
