Tasks include but not limited to:
Oversee the daily operation of the pre school
Monitor children's progress and provide students and teachers with assistance in resolving any problems.
Manage staff including kitchen and maintenance staff
Oversee the planning and preparation of meals for children
Recruit, hire, train and evaluate primary and supplemental staff and recommend personal actions for the program and service.
Creating curricula and standards that support educational excellence.
Ensure property is well maintained
Set educational standards, goals and help establish policies, procedures and programs to carry them out.
Determine the scope of educational program offering and prepare draft of program schedules and descriptions to estimate staffing and facility requirements.
Determine allocations of funds for staff, supplies, materials, and equipment and authorise purchases.
Manage and schedule training of CPR & first aid for all staff members
Identify and schedule fund raising events
Give input to budget planning for the following year
Manage and prepare budgets
Liaise and communicate with parents and have a love and passion for children
Promote the school to potential parents in order to grow the school
Manage and oversee school social media and website
Qualification & Experience
The successful candidate must:
Have a minimum of 3 years' experience managing a pre-school centre.
Be registered with SACE (South African Council of Education) or a qualified teaching degree
Be dynamic, eager to lead and build capacity in the staff
Be of good health and fit to move around
Understand the importance of parental involvement in the education of children
Be independent and self-driven team player with the ability to multi-task
Be reliable and trustworthy as an individual and have no criminal record
