The Opportunity
As a Solutions Consultant, you will be the key pre-sales engineer translating complex technical concepts into tangible business value. Collaborating cross-functionally, you'll work closely with clients and internal teams to solution, ideate and model the various possible mechanisms available to our clients. Your role is critical in ensuring seamless alignment between our technical offerings and diverse client needs, requiring a dynamic blend of technical expertise, business understanding, strategic thinking, and client engagement skills.
This role will be instrumental in assisting the sales team in various stages, and will contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of Electrum's product offerings. By using your strong communication skills you will explain the solution in a language that the buyer will understand both in technical and business value, selling the efficiencies of Electrum's API over customised connections.
The role
Solution strategy and education
  • Educate the go-to-market team on product insights and enhancements
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop and recommend products and services to meet customers' requirements
  • Utilise a balanced mix of technical and business skills to engage with multiple buyer personas across the customer enterprise
  • Provide pre-sales technical expertise to the sales team and customers during the sales process
  • Ensure that the technical aspects of the sales process are driven to ensure that the client achieves their desired objectives
Customer strategic alignment
  • Help inform the strategic direction of customers through your expertise
  • Brief delivery teams with relevant information from the sales process
  • Effectively communicate technical advantages over custom connections
  • Communicate technical solutions to clients, emphasising the value proposition
  • Identify additional sales opportunity expansion pipeline with existing customers
  • Build and nurture relationships with key technical personas at allocated clients
Solution design and implementation
  • Manage or actively participate in solution ideation, design, and implementation activities.
  • Gather market intelligence to better understand customer needs
  • Provide technical input into bid proposals, projects, and technical documents within the sales process
  • Understand the current transaction landscape and identify the wants, needs, and goals of customers
  • Combine knowledge of software design and business KPIs to define appropriate solutions
  • Consider maintenance aspects and potential risks while highlighting the benefits of proposed solutions
  • Conduct demos or proof of concepts to showcase the benefits of partnering with Electrum
  • Brief delivery teams with relevant information for estimation and timelines
Financial and Operational Optimisation
  • Contribute insights to the business case to align solutions with customer needs
  • Design/suggest cost-optimised solutions to reduce expenses and enhance Electrum's financial performance
  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of the organisation's and competitors' products and/or services
Requirements
Essential requirements for this position are:
  • A degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in software engineering and design
  • A strong understanding of system architecture as it relates to transaction processing operations
