POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a motivated Practice Management and Compliance Consultant to join our team under supervision within our Company. In this role, you will assist Members, Customers, and Corporate Clients in optimizing business growth, enhancing asset value, and improving cash flow through the implementation of best practice business strategies. Your contributions will support the long-term profitability and sustainability of Masthead.
A key role in overseeing and implementing compliance and practice management frameworks aligned with FAIS, FICA, and POPI regulations within the financial services industry. This position offers the opportunity to develop your expertise under supervision while delivering impactful compliance solutions and practice management

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the delivery of practice management and compliance services to Financial Services Providers (FSPs) in line with service level agreements.
• Assist in increasing profitability by identifying opportunities for operational efficiencies, revenue growth, and cost reduction within client practices.
• Identify and evaluate business opportunities that align with Mastheads strategic objectives and key drivers.
• Support the implementation of the Mastheads integrated approach to client engagement and service delivery.
• Monitor, review, and report on client progress, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain and update internal compliance records, registers, and documentation to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.
• Assist with compliance functions under FAIS legislation, including monitoring and reporting obligations to FSPs and the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
• Contribute to establishing and promoting a compliance-focused culture among FSPs, supporting the development and maintenance of a compliance risk framework.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE

• Registered as a FSCA (FSB) approved Compliance Officer is essential
• Must be approved by the FSCA for Category I (at minimum)
• Holds a recognised Legal or Accounting degree (or another qualification listed on the FSCAs list of approved qualifications for Compliance Officers)
• Minimum 3 years proven experience in compliance or risk management within the financial services industry
• A valid drivers licence

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

• Good working knowledge of compliance legislation viz. FICA and FAIS (POPI knowledge is advantageous)
• Understanding and knowledge of risk management principles
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Work under pressure, independently, and as part of a team
• Proficient presentation skills
