Hire Resolve's client, a leading multi-disciplinary engineering design and project management firm specializing in innovative and sustainable solutions for mining projects, is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Johannesburg North. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge mining and infrastructure projects within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage mechanical engineering aspects of mining and infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning.Develop and oversee project plans, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and review mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout project lifecycles.Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and technical documentation for internal and client review.Engage with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to maintain strong professional relationships and ensure project alignment.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of engineering best practices within the organization.RequirementsEducational Qualifications: BSc/BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering.Professional Registration: Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).Experience: Minimum of 5 years in mechanical engineering within the mining sector, with a focus on EPC/EPCM projects.Technical Proficiency:Strong understanding of mechanical infrastructure systems relevant to mining.Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with project management tools and methodologies.Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Strong leadership and team management skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Willingness to travel to project sites as required.Benefits
