Job Summary Our client is looking for an experienced Transmission & Substation Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team. This is a dynamic and technically challenging role focused on the design, development, and delivery of high-voltage transmission systems and substations that form the backbone of energy infrastructure. Minimum Requirements: o BSc / BEng / BTech in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred). o Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng) - required or strongly preferred. o Postgraduate qualification (MEng / MBA) - advantageous. Experience Requirements: o 10-15+ years experience in transmission and substation engineering. o Proven experience with: o HV/EHV transmission lines (132kV - 765kV). o Substation design and upgrades (AIS/GIS). o Protection and control systems. o Experience in utility, transmission operator, or large EPC environments. o Demonstrated leadership in multi-disciplinary engineering teams. o Procurement of electrical plant and equipment for large infrastructure projects. o Electrical transmission and substation design and construction. o HV and EHV transmission systems o Commissioning of substations (advantageous). o Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills. o Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and substation design software (CDEGS, ETAP, DIgSILENT).
