Job Description
A leading South African travel technology company is seeking a PR & Communications Specialist to shape and strengthen their public image across digital and traditional channels.
V&A Waterfront, Cape Town (1 day in-office)
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and online publications.
- Draft and distribute press releases, case studies, and media stories to secure high-impact coverage.
- Manage the brand's online reputation and ensure consistency across digital platforms.
- Oversee verification and Wikipedia updates to enhance digital credibility.
- Identify and manage influencer collaborations that align with brand values.
- Monitor online mentions and support crisis communications when necessary.
- Partner with the marketing team to align messaging across all channels.
- Tertiary qualification in Communications, PR, Marketing, or related field.
- 3+ years' experience in PR, communications, or digital PR (agency or in-house).
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English and Afrikaans.
- Proven success in securing coverage in reputable publications.
- Experience managing influencer relationships and digital verification processes.
- A solid understanding of how digital PR impacts SEO and brand authority.
