Job Description

One of our clients, based in Johannesburg Central, is seeking a strategic and results-oriented PR and Corporate Marketing Specialist to lead their marketing team and play a pivotal role as a part leader within the broader organization.
This role combines leadership, collaboration, and execution overseeing a talented marketing team, driving cross-functional initiatives, and managing the marketing budget to ensure efficient and effective spend.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, a skilled project leader, and a data-driven decision-maker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
As a Part Leader (working with and reporting to Marketing Management)

  • Manage Brand Corporate Marketing regarding PR, Social and offline brand activities
  • Lead and manage the marketing team, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance management.
  • Act as a core member of the cross-functional leadership group, collaborating with Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align marketing strategies with company-wide goals.
  • Drive the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that build brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, offering insights based on market trends, competitive landscape, and campaign performance.
  • Budget Management and plan monitoring and management for each BU marketers
  • Own and manage the marketing budget -- including forecasting, tracking, and optimizing spend across channels and campaigns.
  • Work with finance and executive leadership to align budgeting decisions with company growth targets.
  • Analyse the cost-effectiveness of marketing initiatives and reallocate resources as needed to maximize impact.
Responsibilities and duties as a Digital Marketer
  • Develop and execute comprehensive traditional, digital, social media, and email marketing strategies to inform customers.
  • Produce and organize promotional events or activities to enhance brand visibility and market engagement.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to track trends, measure brand awareness, and monitor competitive actions.
  • Manage the marketing budget and ensure that marketing activities align with our financial constraints.
Minimum Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Journalism and / or Communications
  • 7 - 10+ years related experience
  • Solid knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Ads campaigns, SEO/SEM strategies, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Good knowledge of marketing, sales and general warehouse procedures
  • Proven track record in customer relations
  • MS Office Suite at an advanced level.
  • Ability to use database for recording and reporting
  • Ability to understand and operate custom-built company systems
  • Possession of a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
