Key Responsibilities
Inspect poultry carcasses, organs, and cuts for signs of disease, contamination, or quality defects.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards (HACCP, ISO, FSSC, and related legislation).
Monitor processing operations to verify adherence to hygiene, temperature, and handling standards.
Record inspection results and report any non-conformances to management.
Assist with corrective actions and preventive measures to address quality or safety issues.
Liaise with production and quality teams to maintain consistent quality control throughout processing.
Verify product labelling, packaging, and storage conditions.
Participate in internal audits and food safety training sessions.
Qualifications and Requirements
Relevant qualification in
Meat Inspection
,
Food Safety
, or
Animal Health
(e.g., Meat Examiner Certificate or similar).
Minimum
2 years' experience
in poultry or meat inspection within a food manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and inspection techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and observation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
