Duties and responsibilities:



Lead and manage simulation-based projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and oversee day-to-day operations of the Simulation Unit. Assist simulation educators with the preparation of simulation training programmes and equipment for internal and external stakeholders. Drive income-generating activities including fee-based training, CPD courses, and external partnerships. Manage project planning, budgets, risk, compliance, and reporting in alignment with institutional goals. Ensure equipment, facilities, and assets are maintained, utilised efficiently, and aligned with UFS policies. Develop strategic proposals, service agreements, and pricing models in collaboration with finance. Represent the Simulation Unit at industry events and build relationships with clients, partners, and regulators. Support academic integration of simulation into curricula and facilitate staff development workshops. Provide administrative and compliance support for audits, accreditation, and governance processes. Assist with strategic projects, stakeholder engagement, event coordination, and internal communication.

Inherent requirements:



Bachelor's degree or an advanced diploma/BTech degree/postgraduate certificate on NQF Level 7 in Health Sciences/Clinical Medicine/Nursing/Health Professions Education/Project Management/Business Administration. Minimum two (2) years' experience in project management within a clinical, academic or training environment.

Recommendations:



Have knowledge of medical simulators and medical task trainers. Proficiency in managing university assets and maintaining accurate inventory records. Experience with Office 365 applications.

Salary:



The annual remuneration package, including benefits is

R447 323.31 - R562 7750.48 per annum

, depending on the budget available for the position, relevant work experience and qualifications.
