Conducting foundational and advanced research for a Post-doc level
Conducting soil sample collection, preparation, and analytical procedures
Applying fundamental soil and crop science principles to research challenges
Working consistently and reliably to produce high-quality, publishable research (three peer-review papers per year)
Developing expertise in soil spectral data acquisition and interpretation
Application of coding for data analysis, using programming languages such as R and/or Python
Conducting study leading for Honnours, MSc and PhD level studies
Training and teaching in soil spectroscopy, data science and coding
PhD degree in a relevant field such as Soil Science, Agriculture, Mathematics, Data Analysis, or other similar quantitative disciplines, making them eligible for Post-Doctoral registration at the North-West University.
Applicants must be comfortable travelling to remote areas to collect data.
A strong academic background and a keen interest in research are essential.
