Post Doctoral Fellow: Soil Spectroscopy X 1 Position (three Years: Fixed Term Contract)

Job Description
- Conducting foundational and advanced research for a Post-doc level
- Conducting soil sample collection, preparation, and analytical procedures
- Applying fundamental soil and crop science principles to research challenges
- Working consistently and reliably to produce high-quality, publishable research (three peer-review papers per year)
- Developing expertise in soil spectral data acquisition and interpretation
- Application of coding for data analysis, using programming languages such as R and/or Python
- Conducting study leading for Honnours, MSc and PhD level studies
- Training and teaching in soil spectroscopy, data science and coding
- PhD degree in a relevant field such as Soil Science, Agriculture, Mathematics, Data Analysis, or other similar quantitative disciplines, making them eligible for Post-Doctoral registration at the North-West University.
- Applicants must be comfortable travelling to remote areas to collect data.
- A strong academic background and a keen interest in research are essential.
- Applicants must meet the requirements for a post-doctoral fellow at the North-West University.
