Job Description

Required minimum education and training:



PhD in Health Sciences (Physiology would be advantageous). Proficient in specific statistical software (i.e., SPSS (AMOS/PROCESS) / STATA / GPower).
Competent in data management (i.e., REDCap). Excellent presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates a publication record.

Required minimum work experience:



Must have completed PhD Must demonstrate extensive experience in both the fields of physiology and epidemiology. Experience in leading quantitative data collection and analysis.

Key performance areas:Develop research protocols Obtain approval from relevant ethics and other regulatory bodies. Supervise fieldwork (data collection, interviews etc) and where necessary, conduct data collection. Monitor the progress of research projects Conduct literature reviews and stay abreast with relevant research findings Lead quantitative data analysis and write-up Write and contribute to peer-reviewed publications Identify relevant funding opportunities Write research and funding proposals Contribute towards policy development Attend to all staff requirements and administration duties Contribute towards the development of knowledge within the team by identifying relevant training needs and topics.


Appointment date:

1 February 2026



Duration: 12 months with possibility of contract extension
